Halloween Costumes

Hey! I know, I know! Halloween was so long ago, but I still want to post the costumes that we made, so here they are. . .

My Costume: The Mockingjay Dress from 'The Hunger Games'

My mom and I sewed a tube of the fabric you see now, adding straps, the dress was see though so I just put on a black tank top and skirt underneath. Then, after a long time of searching, we found black angel wings, we used those as a base. However, they weren't long enough, so we cut out cardboard and glued the wings on the back of that. We then glued black, and black and white feather boas on back and front. We also added a few extra long feathers on the tips for effect!

Marco's Costume: A Mad Scientist

For this one we took a plain white lab coat and dripped green food coloring over it, adding a bunch of equations over the front and the back of the coat. We also stuck a rubber rat in a pocket next to some beakers. What he's holding is green colored vinegar and baking soda! Complete with a tie, stick-on mustache, a wig, and safety goggles.

Brock and Mom's costume: Knight and Queen of Camelot

We bought Brock's and Mom's costume.

Our dog, Knight: Skeleton

We simply used cream make up and acrylic paint (Note to self: NEVER PAINT FUR WITH ACRYLIC! It does NOT come off easily.)

Eclipse: Indian Spirit Horse

We used acrylic for this one as well. . . Did I mention to NEVER use acrylic on fur EVER again!

Welcome to my life!
