The Voice

Hey! This is a poem by Shel Silverstein called 'The Voice'. I really like this one and I'm trying to memorize it. Here it is. . .

The Voice
By: Shel Silverstein

There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
"I feel that this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong."
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What's right for you - - just listen to
The voice that speaks inside.

Welcome to my life!

Dingo Pups' Adventure Novella - Chapter Two

Hey! Here's chapter two!

Chapter two
Revenge

*****

Ouch! He thought ‘I’ll get you for this!’ And, without a moments hesitation he made himself stop breathing and appear to be lifeless and as still as a snails movement on a world map.
The room was filled with howls of laughter for a couple of seconds.   When Sandy moved from on top of Dusk and realized that he wasn’t moving the laughter stopped like fog in the sun’s rays.
“D-d-d-dusk?” he heard Cloud stutter, while Sandy moved forward slowly to sniff him.
“RRROOOAAARRRR!” Dusk jumped up, surprising all of his littermates!
“Eeeeekkkkk!” they screamed!
He managed to push Sandy to the ground while Sky, and Dawn ran into their Mother and Father’s cavern. Meanwhile Cloud ran and shoved Dusk off, Cloud and Sandy, then, dog well, dingo, pilled on Dusk to pin him down to the ground. Dusk finally gave up but was pleased with the thought that he had tricked the smartest in the litter!

Dingo Pups' Adventure Novella - Chapter One

Hey! This is a Novella, a short book, that I wrote a long time ago.

Chapter One

A Surprise From the Sky

*****

“Wake up Dusk!”
Yawn!  Dusk was awakened by his sister Dawn’s squeaky voice.
“Go away,” Dusk murmured.
“Today’s the day, today’s the day! We need to be awake early!”
Dusk’s dark head lifted an inch off of the ground, and then turned to face his sisters. “Why do we need to be up so early?” he asked, his eyes filled with sleep.
“Because,” she sighed, “today’s the day we get to eat real food!”
“Oooohhhhh!” He said, fully awake now, “Why didn’t you say that in the beginning?”
“Why do you forget so easily?” she said playfully, as she pounced on Sky’s light colored coat.
Dusk whipped around to where Sandy slept, but all he saw was a tuft of dry grass from the large, majestic grasslands of Australia were they lived.
“Where’s Sandy?” Dusk barked to Dawn who was now underneath Sky and was squirming like a worm.
“Who?” Dawn asked with amusement in her voice.
Dawn tried her best to look confused, but her eyes were filled with mischief.
“Hey, look up there!” Cloud said to us.
The litter all stared and all but Dawn were surprised to see Sandy on one of the ledges, well, jumping off of one of the ledges in their spacious cave. Before he had enough warning Sandy had landed firmly on top of Dusk!
